Canada turns 152 years old this year and in true Canadian fashion, Simcoe County is proudly celebrating our country’s heritage.

Collingwood Festival for Canada

When: June 29 – July 1
Where: Blue Mountain Village
What Is It: A weekend of festivities and fun in the village. Enjoy live music all weekend long, guided hiking tours, family activities, movies under the stars sponsored by Subaru and Canada Day fireworks.

When: July 1
Where: Couchiching Beach Park, Orillia
What Is It: Watch or participate in Orillia’s Got Talent, enjoy wheely or regular parade, a variety of children’s activities and more.

When: June 30 – July 2
Where: Dunlop St, Downtown Barrie
What Is It: Enjoy the Canada Day long weekend in a celebration of events all weekend long. Enjoy live music, children’s activities, street performers, food, a midway and more. Catch an amazing fireworks display over Kempenfelt Bay on July 1 at 10 pm.

Tottenham Community Week

When: July 1 – 8
Where: Various Locations Throughout Tottenham
What Is It: Celebrating 50 years of Family and Community Spirit. Kicking off with Canada Day music in the park and fireworks at dusk, the week includes a park party, 2K and 5K fun run, trivia game, a pub crawl, movie night, street dance, fishing derby, classic car show and more.

Canada Day in Wasaga Beach

When: July 1, noon-10 pm
Where: Wasaga Beach, Beach Area 1 & Spruce Street municipal lot

Midland’s Canada Day Festival

When: July 1, 10:30am – 5pm
Where: Downtown Midland & Little Lake Park
What Is It: Kick off Canada Day watching a parade organized by the Midland Civitan Club. Then enjoy an afternoon of family fun with activities, live entertainment from noon until 5 pm and food. At dusk, head down to the Town Dock for a spectacular fireworks display.
