November 11th, 2019, on the 11th hour, communities will stand together in honour of those who have fallen. Thanking our local veterans for their bravery, camaraderie, and selfless acts during the war.

Innisfil:

When: November 11th, 10:45 a.m. – 11:59 p.m.
Where: Innisfil Town Hall / 2101 Innisfil Beach Road, Innisfil ON
Details: Crowds will gather at Innisfil Town Hall to mark Remembrance Day. This event is free and available to all ages. Visit their website for more details.


Barrie:

When: November 11th, 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Where: 30 Simcoe Street, Barrie, ON
Details: Join your community in the Remembrance Day parade and service. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m., followed by the ceremony and service. Please refer to the City of Barrie website for road closure information.

When: November 10th, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Where: 12 Chase McEachern Way, Barrie, ON
Details: A service to remember. Coffee is at 10:30 a.m. Visit their website for more details

When: November 11th, 9:15 a.m. – 11:20 a.m.
Where: King Street, Barrie, ON
Details: Remembrance Day is a municipal holiday and will be observed with a civic ceremony at the Cross of Sacrifice on Monday, Nov. 11th. CIVIC CEREMONY – CROSS OF SACRIFICE. Visit their website for more details.

 


Newmarket:

When: November 10th, 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Where: 450 D’Arcy Street, Newmarket, ON
Details: The Newmarket Citizens Band is proud and honoured to be participating in the 2019 Remembrance Day Parade and Ceremonies, organized by the Royal Canadian Legion, Milton Wesley Branch, Newmarket. Visit their website for more details.

When: November 11th, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Where: 49 Nelson Street, West, Alliston, ON
Details: Annual Remembrance Day Ceremony. Please bring your family and friends and honour those who served and gave the ultimate sacrifice.


Sharon:

When: November 11th, 10:30 a.m.
Where: 19000 Leslie Street, Sharon, ON
Details: Join us for our annual Remembrance Day Ceremony in honour of the men and women that served our country. The ceremony will commence at 10:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be served. Visit their website for more information.


Bradford:

When: Sunday, November 11th, 10:30 a.m.
Where: 115 Back Street, Bradford ON, Bradford Legion.
Details: Wreath laying ceremony will take place at that Legion cenotaph. Visit their website for more information.

When: November 10th, 2019, 12:30 p.m.
Details: The parade forms up at 12:30 p.m. at the TSC plaza then travels as follows:
-Holland St. from Toronto St. to Bingham St.
-Bingham St. from Holland St. to Back St.
-Back St. from Bingham St. to the Bradford Legion

Following the parade will be the wreath-laying at the Legion.


Collingwood:

When: November 11th, 2019, 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Details: Honouring the brave men and women who gave everything in defence of their country. A short parade begins at 10:45 a.m. sharp at the Tremont, walking one block to the Cenotaph located at the Collingwood Museum. Everyone is invited back to the Collingwood Legion afterwards for a free community lunch at 490 Ontario Street. Visit their website for more information.

When: November 11th, 2019, 10:45 a.m.
Details: Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital Cenotaph. Parade to the Legion following the service. Visit their website for more information.


Midland:

When: November 11th, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 a.m.
Where: Huronia Museum and Huron Ouendat Village
Details: Please join us for the 2019 Remembrance Day ceremonies at the Midland Cenotaph on Monday, November 11th. The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by a parade down King St. to the Legion Hall. Visit their website for more information.
