Faris Team CEO and Broker, Mark Faris, says that although this time of the year tends to report slower sales and fewer new listings, week over week they remain steady. A balance of new listings and sales at this time of the year is healthy for the market, and all indicators point to a solid start for 2021.

Compared to the week of November 29-December 5:

  • Average selling price is $686K, down 5%  
  • 5% more new listings than last week
  • 1% more homes sold
  • List-to-sale ratio is up to 102.1%


Midland & Surrounding Area

Compared to the week of November 29-December 5:

  • Average selling price is $566K, up 7%  
  • 0.6% more new listings than last week
  • 13% more homes sold
  • List-to-sale ratio is down slightly to 99.9 %


Orillia & Surrounding Area

Compared to the week of November 29-December 5:

  • Average selling price is $781K, up 27%  
  • 13% fewer new listings
  • 8% fewer homes sold
  • List-to-sale ratio is up slightly to 101.4%
