Weekly Market Update June 8-14

Faris Team CEO and Broker, Mark Faris, says that all markets reported a slight decline in major stats this week. Barrie and surrounding area saw a slight increase in average sale price, but all other core markets reported a dip here as well. 

It is still only taking under three weeks for homes to go from For Sale to Sold (under two weeks in Orillia), but that number climbed a few days in Collingwood, Midland and surrounding areas. With school wrapping up and summer vacation in sight, this may be the window buyers have been waiting for.

• Average selling price:⬆︎4%

• Days on Market:⬇︎2 days

Midland & Surrounding Area

Compared to the week of June 1-7:

• New listings:⬇︎16%

• Homes sold:⬇︎28%

• Average selling price:⬇︎3%

• Days on Market:⬆︎3 days

Orillia & Surrounding Area

• New listings:⬇︎10%

• Homes sold:⬇︎18%

• Average selling price:⬇︎2%

• Days on Market:⬇︎4 days

Collingwood & Surrounding Area

• Homes sold:⬇︎19%

• Average selling price:⬇︎2%
