Weekly Market Update November 15-21

Faris Team CEO and Broker, Mark Faris, says that buyers should take note: even though new listings in Barrie and area are once again down this week, New Tecumseth saw an increase in supply. More inventory gives a margin of breathing room to buyers here as well as in Southern Georgian Bay, where Midland and area markets are also averaging more new inventory than sales in the past week.

Greater Barrie Area

Compared to the week of November 8-14:

  • Average selling price is $664K, down 1%  

  • 20% fewer new listings than last week

  • 10% fewer homes sold

  • List-to-sale ratio is steady at 101.4%


Midland & Surrounding Area

Compared to the week of November 8-14:

  • Average selling price is $616K, down 1%  

  • 66% more new listings than last week

  • 32% fewer homes sold

  • List-to-sale ratio is down to 99.1 %


Orillia & Surrounding Area

Compared to the week of November 8-14:

  • Average selling price is $660K, down 7%  

  • 13% more new listings

  • 13% more homes sold

  • List-to-sale ratio is down slightly to 99.6%
